Most of this market is resellers. Material is bought by the kilo from a handful of overseas manufacturers, split into vials, given a name and a logo, and sold on with the original certificate scanned into a PDF. Every vial here is made in the United States and released against its own certificate.

Why that matters to you

When a reseller sells you a peptide, they are passing along a quality claim they cannot verify. They did not see the column. They did not see the crude. If the purity is wrong, they find out when you do.

Because every lot is made in the United States and tested before release, three things follow. You are told what a lot actually assayed at rather than what the specification permits. A sequence that is not in the catalog can be made to order. And the price does not carry a layer of margin for a broker who added a label.

Four policies that cost us money

Any of these could be quietly dropped and almost no customer would ever find out. That is exactly why they are worth stating in public.

The peak is cut narrow

The easiest way to inflate a yield is to widen the collection window on the prep column and take the shoulders with the main peak. It raises the number on the invoice and lowers what is actually in the vial. The window is kept narrow and the lower yield accepted.

Failed lots get destroyed

A lot that misses its purity specification does not become a cheaper grade sold to someone who asks fewer questions. It is destroyed and the campaign is repeated. This is the single most expensive policy we have and the one we are least willing to change.

Net peptide content is stated

A 10 mg vial contains 10 mg of fill weight, of which some is water and some is counter-ion. We put both numbers on the certificate rather than letting you assume the vial is 100% peptide. Everyone in this industry knows this. Very few print it.

The certificate belongs to your lot

Not a representative certificate, not the certificate from the first campaign of that sequence ever run. Your lot number, your chromatogram, generated the week it was made.

What we cannot tell you

We will not advise on dosing, administration routes, reconstitution protocols intended for living subjects, or anything resembling a use in one. Not because we are being cagey — because these are research chemicals, and that advice would be both unlawful for us to give and worthless coming from a chemist rather than a clinician.

We will talk at length about purity, analytical method, stability, solubility, counter-ion load and storage. That is our side of the line, and we are happy on it. If a supplier in this market is willing to answer the other questions, that tells you something about how they view the label on the vial.
