Products are research chemicals

Every product offered by AFA Biosciences is supplied as a chemical reference material intended solely for in-vitro laboratory research. Our products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics, medical devices, or dietary supplements as those terms are defined under the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or any equivalent legislation.

Not for human or veterinary use

Our products are not for human or veterinary use under any circumstances. They must not be administered to, ingested by, injected into, applied to, or otherwise introduced into the body of any human being or animal. They have not been evaluated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration or any comparable regulatory authority for any purpose.

No therapeutic claims

Nothing on this website is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or medical condition. No description, specification, category name or piece of technical data published here should be interpreted as a claim about an effect in a living subject. Where a product is described in terms of its receptor class or mechanistic classification, that description is a chemical classification only.

No guidance on use in living subjects

We do not publish, and will not provide on request, information relating to dosage, administration routes, reconstitution protocols intended for living subjects, cycling, stacking, or any comparable subject. Enquiries of this nature will be declined. We are able to discuss purity, analytical method, stability, solubility, counter-ion content and storage, which are questions about the material rather than its use.

Purchaser responsibilities

By placing an order you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 21 years of age.
• You are a qualified purchaser, acting either on behalf of a research institution or as an individual legally entitled to acquire and handle research chemicals in your jurisdiction.
• You possess the scientific training and facilities necessary to handle, store and dispose of the materials safely and lawfully.
• You will not administer the materials to any human or animal, and will not supply them to any person who intends to do so.
• You will not resell, relabel or redistribute the materials in a manner that misrepresents their status as research chemicals.
• You are solely responsible for compliance with all laws applicable to you, including import, export, controlled-substance and workplace safety law.

Limitation of liability

AFA Biosciences accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, injury, damage or legal consequence arising from any use of our products other than the in-vitro laboratory research use for which they are sold. Any use in contravention of this disclaimer is undertaken entirely at the purchaser's own risk and constitutes a material breach of our Terms of Sale.

Right of refusal

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or refund any order, at our sole discretion and without stating a reason, where we have grounds to believe the materials may be intended for use outside laboratory research. We exercise that right regularly and without apology.
